Doc. dr. Jurij Rakun, University of Maribor

Doc. dr. Jurij Rakun graduated (2005) and received his doctorate (2010) from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics, University of Maribor. Since 2007 he has been employed as a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture and Biosystem Sciences. His field of work includes computer vision, digital signal processing, pattern recognition and robotics to solve the challenges of modern agriculture.

  • Innovative projects in precision farming

As part of the presentation doc. dr. Rakun will present in more detail the project  Transfarm 4.0, with an emphasis on one of the pilot subprojects. Transfarm 4.0 (Interreg Central Europe) is a project that addresses precision agriculture at the international level, by connecting partners from 5 different EU countries. The partners aim to strengthen the importance of precision agriculture in everyday life and emphasize its market importance.
