Martin Rojnik, Grashka
Growing up on an ecologic alpine farm connected Martin Rojnik to the land and this relationship with nature also dictated his career. His more than ten years of experience in the field of marketing and project management for the biggest advertising agencies in the Balkan region were followed by a two-year training program as a chef in more than ten restaurants; amongst others, he worked for some restaurants boasting Michelin stars, such as Rutz (3 stars) and Hugos (1 star) in Germany. In Slovenia, he worked with Ana Roš, the best chef in the world, from Hiša Franko, boasting two Michelin stars.
In 2014, he co-founded the Inštitut S.U.R.F which to date has carried out more than 300 catering and hospitality events, as well as educational programs. In 2018, he became the co-founder and executive director of the company Kucha which in its first year of operation ranked 25th among the 50 best vegan restaurants in Europe and developed a wide range of plant-based products.
In 2021, he introduced the new brand Grashka with its company seat on his own ecologic family farm in the Graška Gora area and manufacturing located in Velenje with the intention to develop innovative plant-based food products and regenerative agriculture practices.
